Fire destroys two garbage trucks

Fire destroys two garbage trucks

Two Cessnock City Council garbage trucks have been destroyed by fire. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at Council’s Depot and emergency services attended the scene.   Residents’ collection service will continue as normal, however there may be some delays. Investigations are underway into the cause of the fire. There are no suspicious circumstances.

Survey launched to review the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre

Thousands of visitors walk through the doors of the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre every month. In April alone 12,588 visitors used the service provided by Council. Council has recently commenced a service improvement project to review and make recommendations for the range and levels of services provided by the Centre, in line with community wants and industry benchmarks.
