Central Desert Regional Council congratulates Southern Tanami Kurdiji Indigenous Corporation (STKIC) on its funding success to become an independent corporation, a journey of some seven years.  Yuendumu mediator, Robert Robertson commented that “we have to break the cycle we go round in year after year.  Breaking the cycle means we must face the challenges in our lives”.

The Coomalie Community Government Council is a Local Government Area in the Northern Territory, situated south of Darwin, Palmerston, and Litchfield local government areas. The boundary of this area extends from the Manton Dam in the north, to the town of Adelaide River in the south and east from the Adelaide River, to the Litchfield National Park in the west. Council's Ordinary General Meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
