Mayor welcomes NSW Government's $2.17m investment in Cabonne's future

Eight Cabonne Council projects have received more than $2 million from the NSW Government in what the Mayor has described as a once-in-a-generation funding boost for the village of Cumnock. Accepting a cheque for $2.17m from Rick Colless, the NSW Parliamentary Secretary for Western NSW, Cr Kevin Beatty thanked the Government for making an amazing investment in the Shire’s future. Almost $1m will go to two projects at Cumnock, where a large crowd gathered for the announcement today (Thursday 11 October 2018).

Mayor will send tractors on their fund-raising trek around Cabonne

Cabonne Mayor Kevin Beatty will drop the flag to send about 30 tractors on their way on Saturday to begin the 2018 Central West Tractor Trek around Cabonne Shire. The event, which raises funds for Little Wings Children’s Flight Services, will start at 8.30am at Molong Showground and pass through Manildra, Cumnock, Larras Lee, Boomey, Mullion Creek, Dawson Gates, Clergate, March and Belgravia. Participants will gather at Molong Showground on Friday for registrations, safety checks and briefings and a mini-afternoon trek.

NSW Government annouces $164,000 grant to upgrade Mullion Creek tennis courts

Cabonne Council has warmly welcomed $176,000 in funding for two projects under the NSW Government’s Crown Reserves Improvement Fund. Mayor Kevin Beatty was delighted with the news that $164,000 would be spent on upgrading the Mullion Creek tennis courts and $12,000 had been allocated to spray the infestation of pest plants at East Molong Reserve. “On behalf of Cabonne Council, I wish to thank the NSW Government for this generous grant funding.” Cr Beatty said.
