Wollondilly Shire Council continues to make significant progress across its service areas as it brings to life a wide range of transformative projects, programs and goals from the Delivery Program.

The six-monthly progress report for July to December 2023 demonstrates traction on a range of projects across the Shire as well as the massive ongoing road repair program.

Mayor Matt Gould said, “Council is continuing to focus on the priorities of the community, with our $30 million priority road repair program remaining on track with reconstruction, heavy patching and drainage work taking place right across the Shire.”

“A number of major projects are also under way, and it’s exciting to see Stage 2 of the Tahmoor Sporting Complex Masterplan take shape with the redevelopment of the existing soccer and cricket fields, floodlighting, irrigation and drainage in progress.”

“The launch of the Resilient Wollondilly Van, a new state-of-the-art mobile recovery vehicle to provide support to impacted residents during and after a disaster was another important milestone, and a resource which has proved invaluable in responding to the recent floods.”

“In the six months to December we also saw the tender awarded for construction of a new grandstand and amenities building at Dudley Chesham Sportsground, the Oaks, which is already taking shape; as well as the tender for the Antill Park Golf Course which has been awarded to the Antill Park Country Golf Club, achieving a fantastic outcome for the community.”
