Minor Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir, Jemalong Weir, Condobolin Bridge and Euabalong Issued at 12:53 pm EST on Thursday 5 August 2021

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT COTTONS WEIR AND JEMALONG WEIR Renewed rises are occurring along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir. Minor flooding is expected to continue through the week and over the weekend. The Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir is currently above minor flood levels and is expected to remain around the minor flood level through the week and into the weekend. The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge may reach the minor flood level on Sunday 8 August. The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach the minor flood level mid next week.

Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir: Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River. The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir is likely to remain around 3.80 metres from today and into the weekend, with minor flooding continuing. The Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir Downstream is likely to remain around 7.30 metres for the remainder of the week and into the weekend, with minor flooding continuing.

Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong: Minor flooding may occur along the Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong. The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge may reach around 5.20 metres during Sunday 8 August, with minor flooding The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach the minor flood level (6.40 metres) during Wednesday 11 August 2021.

Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
