Moree Plains August Bulky Waste Collection - Register Now for your Chance to Win a $150 Love Local Card 

Another $150 Love Local gift card is up for grabs during the 2021 Bulky Waste collection!

Individuals who register their address for the August Bulky Waste Collection and present their bulky items on the kerb correctly will automatically enter the draw to win a $150 Love Local gift card.

For your chance to win make sure your waste is separated into four tidy piles: large items, general household waste, green waste, and metals/white goods/e-waste.

The following is an example of how to sort waste items:

Each registered household is allowed to place up to 3 cubic metres of waste on their kerb one week prior to their designated collection time.

Council’s Waste Manager, Victoria Dawson encourages everyone to take advantage of the kerbside service and get involved in the Clean Up Collection Competition. “Bulky Waste collections are a great way to tidy up our home and neighbourhood. By collecting items at the kerb, we also reduce the amount of household waste that could end up getting dumped illegally throughout the Shire.”

Remember: For Moree township and surrounding areas (Gurley, Gwydirville, and Bendygleet), registration closes at 5.00 pm Friday 30 July 2021, for collection starting Monday 2 August 2021. For villages (Ashley, Biniguy, Boggabilla, Boomi, Garah, Mungindi, Pallamallawa, Vitonga Road, Weemelah, and Yarraman), registration closes at 5.00 pm Friday 6 August 2021, for collection starting Monday 9 August 2021.

Waste must be put out for collection by no later than the Sunday evening prior to your collection week (i.e., For Moree and surrounds, by no later than the evening of Sunday 1 August). Waste that does not meet the above requirements will be treated as illegal dumping and you may be issued an infringement notice if the items are not promptly removed. Items placed on the kerb without registration will not be collected.

Each household must register for the collection by calling the Waste Hotline 1300 736 719 or booking online. Details regarding the collection competition can be found on Cleanaway’s website.
