Everyone is invited to kick off their Australia Day with a free snag at Campbelltown’s Big Aussie BBQ breakfast.

Residents can pick up a free sausage sandwich on Australia Day from 8am until snags run out at a number of locations across Campbelltown.

Families can also grab a free frisbee at each of the locations.

“Uncertainties around COVID-19 restrictions made it difficult for us to plan and hold our regular Australia Day event but people can still come down and enjoy a free Aussie snag before they enjoy the day with their family,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“We’ll be hosting these barbecues at a number of great local parks and down at the Lithgow St Mall as part of our On Q events program,” Cr Brticevic said.

“Enjoy a big Aussie BBQ breakfast on us and celebrate Australia Day with the family,” he said.

Locations include:

Eagle Farm Reserve, Eagle Vale Ingleburn Reserve, Macquarie Fields Rizal Park, Rosemeadow Redfern Park, Minto Dimeny Park, Claymore Lithgow Street Mall, Campbelltown

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions limiting outdoor gatherings, people will not be able to mingle at the barbeque area. Council will continue to monitor changes to restrictions and announce any changes closer to the event.
