Kids will be able to enjoy a series of fun arts and crafts activities at Kids on Q during the summer school holidays.

The free workshops are being held on Lithgow Street, which has been temporarily transformed with additional seating, shade and a bright new colour scheme, during each Thursday in January.

Kids on Q events include:

Thursday 7 January: Boomerang decorating workshops with the Dharawal Men’s Aboriginal Corporation. Thursday 14 January: Rainbow Messy Play Day with Mess It Up. Thursday 21 January: Creative art workshop. Thursday 28 January: Early childhood/Preschool aged workshop.

“If you’re looking for a great way to keep the kids entertained during the holidays then this is a fantastic opportunity to get them doing something fun, creative and engaging while enjoy our revamped Lithgow St,” Mayor George Brticevic said.

“On Q is a project to bring to life our CBD area through a series of activities and temporary programs throughout the next few months, keep an eye out for all the exciting things we have planned,” Cr Brticevic said.

People can book in for one of three sessions on each day through Eventbrite.

Kids on Q is part of the On Q activation program which will test and trial different ideas and programs to enhance the Campbelltown CBD, particularly the Queen St precinct.

People can leave their feedback and ideas for the project at overtoyou.campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/on-q
