Lachlan Home and Community Care (HACC) are currently recruiting volunteers for their Meals on Wheels service.

Volunteers are crucial to the operation of HACC’s Meals on Wheels service. They pick up the prepared meals, deliver them to clients and return the bags to the HACC office.

Drivers will need to have their own registered vehicle and a current drivers licence. Volunteers are able to deliver meals in pairs and have found the engagement with residents across the shire a rewarding community based opportunity.

The required commitment from volunteers would be for approximately an hour during the day, around lunchtime.

Every act of volunteering at Meals on Wheels contributes to a happier, healthier community.

Meals on Wheels NSW has over 35,000 volunteers throughout NSW and delivers around 4.5 million meals to clients each year.

The service provides a nutritionally balanced meal to frail, aged people and those with a disability, along with their carers.

Meals on Wheels enables people to be independent in their own homes for longer.

If you or someone you know would like volunteer in either Condobolin, Lake Cargelligo or Tottenham, please contact the Condobolin office on 6895 4320 to discuss.

HACC wished to thank current volunteers for their support and continued service with Meals on Wheels.
