Council wishes to advise that due to a water main break on the main supply within the Lithgow area some residents will be experiencing a loss of water or low pressure.

A main supply pipeline has burst which has resulted in large number of residents experiencing no water or low water pressure. Council is currently working on a repair and advises that the repair will not be complete until 7pm. Council wishes to advise that once service resumes it will take some time before the system refills and that normal water service resumes to all customers. Upon return of normal service, residents may experience dirty water for a period. Council will endeavour to minimise this by flushing the mains. Before using the water for domestic purposes, residents are advised to run a tap to ensure the water is clean and any dirt released into the system has been flushed.

Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause but is working to rectify the issues as soon as possible.
