This school holidays learn anything from how to build a simple robot, or take part in an interactive magic show at Wollongong City Libraries’ seven locations this July school holidays.

The Winter Wonderland Storytime will see dancing, stories, rhymes and a reader’s theatre happening as a drop in event with no booking required at Dapto, Thirroul and Wollongong libraries.

All the other school holiday events will require bookings and these are:

Fingerprinting – create a picture on canvas with your fingerprints.

Roblox-Style Paper Figurines – construct and style a Roblox-style figurine to take home with you.

Trace of Magic – an entertaining, interactive magic show.

Sand Art – get creative making your own sand art with lots of designs to choose from.

Minecraft Scavenger Hunt (ages 8+) – four teams will race through the library to locate chests filled with Minecraft treasures.

Walking Scrawl Robots – build a simple robot and watch it create unique artworks with mechanical vibrations as it walks across your page.

Harry Potter Trivia (ages 12+) – in celebration of Harry Potter’s birthday enjoy trivia, games and pizza. Come dressed in wizarding attire or a muggle disguise.
