The Workary is inviting businesspeople to its free Business Networking Breakfast on Thursday, 27 June to listen to guest speakers, network and find inspiration from peers.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said 27 June was Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day.

“Council is helping small business, local entrepreneurs and business start-ups by providing resources through Whitlam Library Cabramatta and its new business dedicated space, The Workary,” Mayor Carbone said.

“I encourage local businesspeople to come and celebrate all that they do for the economy and the community at the Workary on MSME Day.

“This is a great opportunity for businesspeople to meet others facing the same or similar benefits and challenges of starting up or running an MSME,” Mayor Carbone said.

“I understand how hard it can be for small business owners to make a successful living – the long hours, getting adequate finance, constantly coming up with fresh ideas.

“But there are benefits – the satisfaction of doing it your way, of being able to support your family and quite often other families with jobs – making something bigger than yourself and supporting the economy and community.

“Networking and talking to others can give you insights on how to do things better, help to overcome challenges or come up with mutually beneficial partnerships in your business.

“I encourage you to come listen to our knowledgeable guest speakers, meet other businesspeople and enjoy a free breakfast.”
