Road rebuilding and widening road shoulders on Waterfall Way, east of Bellingen from 27 May, 2019

The NSW Government is funding essential maintenance work on Waterfall Way to provide a safer, stronger and longer lasting road. Roads and Maritime Services has engaged Bellingen Shire Council to carry out the work, which will involve rebuilding an 800-metre section of road, about six kilometres east of Bellingen.

Work will start on Monday 27 May and will take ten weeks to complete, weather permitting. We will be working between 6am and 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am to 1pm on Saturday, if required.

[KEY Work area on Waterfall Way]

How will the work affect you?

The work will involve the use of machinery which will generate some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by turning machinery off when not in use and positioning machinery away from residential areas where possible.

Access to properties in the area will be maintained at all times.

Traffic changes

Traffic will be reduced to one lane, alternate flow during work hours. A reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists. Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and follow all directions and signs.
