Albury tap water in running for top gong
AlburyCity News 3 Apr 2019

The NSW / ACT competition is the first of the state competitions for 2019.  Over the coming months, water authorities from various regional and metropolitan areas will participate in state heats where water samples will be judged on qualities like colour, clarity, odour and mouthfeel during blind taste tests.

Heats were held on Tuesday 2 April and Albury tap water has been judged one of the three best in NSW / ACT. The other finalists are Orange City Council and Shoalhaven Water.

The winner of the NSW comp, to be announced today, will go on to represent the state at the national competition later in the year.

While the competition itself is all in the spirit of good fun there is a meaningful undertone to it, recognising the hard work of those who ensure safe, clean drinking water is available to us, every day.
