BizMonth is an initiative of Bathurst Regional Council which highlights the importance and diversity of local businesses.

Bathurst has a thriving business community that continues to grow and provide a valuable contribution to the region’s economy.

Mayor of Bathurst Graeme Hanger OAM said Council takes a proactive role in the continued economic development of our region.

“We are continuing investment in economic programs such as the Jobs Expo, Evocities and Smart Cities Program that grow and support our local businesses,” he said.

Throughout September a series of events will be held for businesses and members of the community to gain new insights, ideas and connections.

BizMonth is a partnership between Bathurst Regional Council, Bathurst Business Chamber, Western Advocate, Central NSW Business HQ, Bathurst City Life, CenWest Innovate, Regional Development Australia Central West and 99.3 B-Rock FM.

September Event Program

CenWest Innovate Public Relations Stakeholder Analysis Masterclass

Date: Thursday, 6 September Time: 8.00am for 8.30am start to 9.30am. Location: Upstairs Startup Hub

Cost: Free

This masterclass will take you through the process of identifying and analysing your stakeholders and assist you in developing practical strategies to engage stakeholders with your business.

Regional Development Australia e-commerce in China Masterclass for regional businesses

Date: Monday, 10 September Time: 8.30am for 9am start to 12pm Location: Upstairs Startup Hub Cost: $22.00 pp.

Specifically designed for regional NSW businesses, with a focus on agribusinesses, this half-day masterclass will explore the opportunities, risks and various pathways to successful e-commerce trade with China.

The Rotary Club of Bathurst Inaugural Corporate Great Duck Race

Date: Sunday, 16 September Time: 12pm Location: Bicentennial Park Cost: $300 per duck

An Evening with Kate Carnell – Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman

The Bathurst Business Chamber and Oberon Business & Tourism Association invite you to an evening with Kate Carnell, Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, at the beautiful Mayfield Garden. The evening will provide guests with an opportunity to hear from Ms Carnell, as well as network with business professionals from the Bathurst and Oberon regions. On arrival guests will be treated to a drink in the Wood Fire Garden, followed by dinner in the picturesque Nursery Gallery.
