Learner Supervisor Workshop

The RMS and Council are hosting a free workshop for parents supervising learner drivers on Thursday 20 September at 5.00pm at the Civic Centre (158 Russell Street).

The workshop will offer practical advice on how to help you help your learner driver become a better driver. Bookings are essential. Call Andrew on 6333 6517 to reserve your place.

Inland Sea of Sound

Father’s Day at NMRM

The National Motor Racing Museum will celebrate Father's Day this year on Sunday, September 2.

It also marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the museum by the Bathurst Light Car Club in 1988. Free entry to the museum will be provided to fathers and anyone born in 1988. Other activities on the day will include the rides in the replica cars, sausage sizzle, car/bike and other displays. Visit www.nmrm.com.au for more information.

Get Building Bathurst in time for Father’s Day Graham Lupp’s publication Building Bathurst is the definitive architectural history of the built heritage of Bathurst. The two volume publication is a celebration of the lives of the architects, builders, carpenters, brickmakers, ‘mechanics’ and artisans responsible for Bathurst’s reputation as a “red brick town” in its first century. Building Bathurst records the history of Bathurst’s 19th and early 20th century buildings. To secure a copy of this publication, contact Council on 6333 6111. Bluntside Skateboarding Series

The Youth Council is partnering with Bluntside Sk8 Park Tours and the Australian Skateboarding Federation to hold the inaugural Bluntside Skatepark Series. Venue: Bathurst Skatepark, Lions Club Drive Date: Sunday 16 September 2018 Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm The event will feature skateboarding, scooters and BMX. In the leadup to the event, skills sessions will be held on Sunday 26 August and Sunday 2 September from 11:00am until 2:00pm. A free barbecue is available and there are some great prizes on offer. NMRM Legendary Moments Dinner

Tickets for the National Motor Racing Museum 'Legendary Moments' Dinner are now available. Enjoy a two course meal while listening to stories from Mark Winterbottom and other Legends of the Great Race. Take in the spectacular views of Mount Panorama from Rydges' top level as the Legends take you on a drive down memory lane, reliving their most memorable moments on Mount Panorama.

Access Improvement for Small Business Grants

Grants are available to assist local small businesses and non-profit organisations improve access and inclusion to their place of business/organisation.

Businesses and non-profit organisations within the Bathurst region may apply for funding of either 50% of project costs, or up to a maximum of $5,000 on a dollar for dollar basis.

Sporting Association Grants

Grants are available to assist local sporting organisations to undertake specific works or purchase equipment for the advancement of sport in the Bathurst Region. Sporting organisations that are affiliated with the Bathurst District Sport and Recreation Council are eligible to apply for these grants, with a total of $20,000 allocated to this scheme.
