Revitalise your ideal City

Today the City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas announced an exciting research program to plan a successful and vibrant future for the City. “As part of this program I am calling on the community to imagine their ideal town centre and share their thoughts with us,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.

“From the Drummoyne Shopping Village and Great North Road in Five Dock, to Majors Bay Road and the Bakehouse Quarter, town centres are integral to the life of our community.”

“It’s time for the City of Canada Bay, local businesses, residents and visitors to sit down and work together to revitalise our City.”

To create this vision, City of Canada Bay has teamed up with research company Place Score who have extensive experience in finding out what communities want in their town centres in order to make them ideal places to live, work and play.

“The purpose of this research is to find out what you want in your town centres as part of planning activities for our future,” Mayor Tsirekas said.

“We are committed to making informed strategic planning decisions that reflect the views of the community, ensuring we have maximum return on any future investment we make in our town centres.”

A survey has been developed that will allow anyone to imagine and share feedback about what they think is important in making town centres more vibrant places to live, work and play.

“We are invested in hearing community members’ aspirations for their ideal town centre, and I encourage everyone to complete the survey,” Mayor Tsirekas said.

Opportunities to get involved are now available until 19 August.
