X-Factor finalist Vlado Saric will return to Fairfield City Council’s Bring It On! Festival next month to headline an outstanding line-up of musical entertainment.

The young singer, who made top three on season eight of X-Factor, was a huge hit with people of all ages at Bring It On! Festival last year and Council has proudly invited him back for local fans, adding to the exciting showcase of youth talent and culture.

“Following an impressive performance at last year’s Bring It On! Festival, I’m pleased to announce that former X-Factor contestant Vlado Saric will return to wow the crowd,” Mayor Frank Carbone said.

“The popular performer will return to Bring It On! Festival with his high energy vocals. He will also take part in our new Fairfield Warrior obstacle course competition.

“Vlado will be joined by Fairfield City based band Yours Truly and local singer Olina Loau.

“Council is proud to provide such an outstanding line-up for the crowd to enjoy. It is also a great opportunity for emerging young acts to showcase their talent and build up experience.”

Other performers at Bring It On! Include Rachael Fahim, The Comfort, Undercast, HURST, Fiveash, Cleveland Dreamers, Tori Dunbar and Caio Ferraz.

The new Fairfield Warrior obstacle course will also be a big attraction for festivalgoers with many people already registering to take part.

Competitors will test their strength and stamina in a custom built obstacle course, which features nine obstacle zones including suspended ropes, a climbing wall and crash pool.

The individual winner of the Open competition (ages 12+) will become Fairfield Warrior and win $1,000 in both male and female categories. Local high school students can be nominated for the Schools competition to win a cash prize of $500 for best male and female, along with $500 for their school.

A DJ will entertain the Fairfield Warrior crowd, while an inflatable all-ages obstacle course will provide plenty of free interactive entertainment for families and include fun competitions with great prizes.

“To top it off, there will be great food trucks provided by Aussie Night Markets, plus many rides, sports and yard games, dance competitions, live street art, a photo booth, youth services stalls and giveaways and even more in the pipeline,” Mayor Carbone said.

“I encourage young people and their families to come along to our exciting Youth Week event and celebrate what young people can do.”

Free transport will be provided between Bring It On! Festival and Fairfield, Cabramatta and Canley Vale stations all day. The event is drug and alcohol-free.

The award winning Bring It On! Festival attracts thousands of young people to Fairfield Showground each year. The event runs from 10.30am to 7.30pm on 15 April and kicks off Council’s Youth Week program
