Campbelltown residents are invited to an afternoon of delicious food, carnival rides, community displays and Australiana-themed kids’ activities to celebrate Australia Day at Koshigaya Park on Thursday 26 January from 4pm to 9pm.

The Wonderdogs – a talented team of Border Collies led by trainer Kelly Gill – will entertain the crowd with their amazing tricks at 5.30pm and 6.30pm, while local musicians will play throughout the evening from the main stage.

The achievements of Campbelltown residents will be celebrated at a civic ceremony at the Greg Percival Community Centre in Ingleburn at 9am where the Citizen of the Year and other Australia Day Awards will be announced.

Several new Australians will receive their citizenship at a ceremony afterwards.

“Campbelltown’s Australia Day celebrations are always popular among friends and family so I look forward to seeing everyone out and about on the day,” Mayor George Greiss said.

“It’s also an important day to recognise the extraordinary contributions of people in our community who help to make Campbelltown the fantastic place that it is when we announce the Australia Day Award winners,” Cr Greiss said.

This event is assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
