Moree Plains Flood Update Issued 11am, Wednesday 31 March 2021 Mungindi potable water supply - Boil water alert With the potable water supply in Mungindi sourced from the Barwon River, current conditions are causing problems with water treatment making drinking water in the Mungindi Potable Water Supply unsafe for drinking. Urgent maintenance works are currently being undertaken at the Mungindi Water Treatment Plant to rectify the treatment of the water. Water used for drinking or food preparation should be brought to a rolling boil to make it safe.
