Have you ever noticed how good it feels to help others or set and achieve personal goals?
Feelgood February is all about supporting the things that make people feel good. This year the focus is on goal setting, volunteering and overcoming challenges!
Having goals is a good way to focus on the things that are important, these can include your health, relationships, productivity at work, personal skills, and more. Setting goals is an effective way to increase motivation and help create the changes you want. Find out more about goal setting here.Goal setting
Struggling to plan your goals? Why not attend our Goal Setting & Planning Workshop?
This Feelgood Feb why not set a goal to try something new, reach out to that old friend, or learn a new skill? Whatever your goal this year, you can find plenty of inspiration throughout the City on What’s On or the Fremantle Community Directory, or head to Act Belong Commit to find an activity or group that interests you!Volunteering
Volunteering is another way to make yourself and those around you feel good. Did you know Volunteering can also have positive impacts on your mental health, relationship with others, and even improve satisfaction with life. It can be a great way to meet new people, gain skills and experiences, and make a difference to the lives of others. Why not consider volunteering in your community?
To find out more about the benefits of volunteering, or if you would like more information about stepping into volunteering email or check out volunteering in the City of Fremantle or read more here.Random Acts of Kindness Day
This February is also the month for Random Acts of Kindness Day on Saturday 17 Feb.
Random Acts of Kindness Day is dedicated to promoting kindness and goodwill. It encourages individuals to perform simple, unexpected acts of kindness to brighten someone’s day.
This year the City has created Community Kindness Cards to be distributed throughout the community. Designed in partnership with Act Belong Commit, the card explains the benefits of random acts of kindness and some simple ideas of how to do it. Those who receive a card through an act of kindness are encouraged to do a random act of kindness for someone else, pass the card on, and share your kind story.
Pick up these cards at Walyalup Civic Centre, Fremantle Visitor Centre, or throughout your community
If your club or group would like to be involved and receive some Community kindness Cards, please email with your request.
