Liverpool will welcome the new year with a dazzling array of fireworks and a free concert at a gala promotion at Warwick Farm racecourse on December 31.

Celebrations will soar as high as the rockets and fireworks that will light up the skies as the community says farewell to 2023 and welcomes 2024.

The exciting, family-orientated programme will turn Warwick Farm Racecourse into a colourful backdrop for music and carnival rides in the lead-up to the fireworks at 9.00 pm.

It is a return to the New Year’s Eve celebrations of the past before pandemics and other emergencies brought down-sizing and restrictions.

‘It will be a great night for families to come and celebrate the end of 2023 and welcome in 2024 with fun and entertainment,” said Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun.

“I’m looking forward to the excitement of a new year starting. It’s always exciting.

“The night’s been planned so there is something for everyone. There are carnival rides and show bags for the children, live music for the teens and adults and fireworks for everyone.”

The free event will run from 5pm to 10pm. Parking is limited so plan your transport.

Leading bands appearing at the event include Stacey Street Bands, Hari Kari with Lara D one of the solo performers.

Entertainers in the Kid’s Zone include Spiderman, Magic, and Juggling Show. The highlight at 6pm will be Emeraldine the Fairy and Pirate Pete Treasure Adventure.

A reminder that parking at the event is limited and we will have FREE shuttle buses to and from Warwick Farm and Liverpool.
