City of Sydney 1 Dec 2023

To celebrate the start of summer, on Saturday 9 December the City of Sydney will host free open days at its world-class aquatic and fitness centres.

The free open days will run from 8am to 3pm in Zetland, Surry Hills, Ultimo, Camperdown and the city.

Visitors can also trial free fitness classes, from yoga to spin, or chat to health and wellbeing experts at no charge.

Centres will be buzzing with activities, prizes and giveaways on offer.

“Exercise is so good for our physical and mental wellbeing, and we’re proud of our outstanding facilities enjoyed by people of all ages every day,” Lord Mayor of Sydney, Clover Moore AO said.

“From swimming lessons to rehabilitation to kids splash parks, pools are an incredibly important community hub.

“There are many group fitness classes on offer at our centres, as well as gyms and cafes.

“Come along to our upcoming open days and you may just discover a new hobby or your summer swimming spot.”
