Entrepreneur and philanthropist Clyde Campbell AM, founder of the Shake It Up Foundation, has been announced as Campbelltown’ s Australia Day Ambassador for 2023.

Mr Campbell is a highly accomplished businessman and entrepreneur, having founded his own company, Machinery Automation and Robotics.

Since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2009, his philanthropy and advocacy for Parkinson’s research has helped fund and draw attention to the disease, affecting over 100,000 Australians.

Mr. Campbell’s search for the cure has been as much a personal journey as an entrepreneurial one, leading him to launch Shake It Up Australia and partner with the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to help build awareness locally.

“We are proud and honoured to welcome Clyde Campbell as our Australia Day Ambassador for 2023,” said Mayor George Greiss.

“Mr Campbell has dedicated himself to fighting a disease that has impacted people across Australia and in our community,” Cr Greiss said.

“Australia Day is a time to acknowledge those in our community who make a difference in the lives of others so I’m looking forward to hearing more about Mr Campbell’s story during the celebrations,” he said.

As ambassador, M. Campbell will participate in greeting the community at Council’s Civic Ceremony on Australia Day.

Campbelltown’s Australia Day events are assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council.
