Works update – 21 December 2022
Kyogle Council News 21 Dec 2022

It’s been a big week for our work crews, with interim works to repair a landslip under the Geneva Bridge completed — this included the installation of 119 cubic metres of shotcrete — and the new Olesons Bridge on Collins Creek Road now open to traffic.

Landslips repairs on Oxbow Road and the first one of four on Tabulam Road have also been completed.

The construction project on the Clarence Way at Sandilands was finished yesterday, when the final of two seals was laid. The first section of the remediation works on the Clarence Way between Woodenbong and Urbenville was sealed today.

Temporary seals at Salty Creek and Sandy Creek on the Clarence Way were also completed this week, while pothole crews have been busily working on Kyogle Road and Clarence Way.

Council’s work crews will finish up this afternoon for a well-earned Christmas break after a challenging and often difficult year. They will progressively return from 3 January 2023 to resume work on their ongoing projects.

For emergencies during the shutdown (22 December – 2 January), please call Council’s after-hours number 6626 6800.
