Miss the Council Meeting on Monday night? Here is a summary of the discussions (Date: 25 July 2022):

Council noted St John’s Cathedral Parramatta is celebrating its 220th year anniversary in July 2022. (Item 8.1) Council showed support for the Sri Lankan community in the City of Parramatta and donated $2,000 to the UN World Food Programme. (Item 8.2) Council donated $2,000 to the 2022 Jeans for Genes fundraising initiative in support of the Children’s Medical Research Institute at Westmead. (Item 8.3) Council approved the proposed response to the key policy changes made by the Department of Planning and Environment to the Parramatta CBD Planning Proposal. (Item 13.4) Council received and noted the Investment Report for June 2022. (Item 12.1) Council appointed Neil Benning (Dundas Ward), Nadine Goss (Rosehill Ward) and Angela Hansford (Dundas Ward) as the community members for the Floodplain Risk Management Committee, with Parramatta Chamber of Commerce, ParraCAN and Western Sydney University as the business members and NSW Emergency Service, the Department of Planning and Environment, Transport for NSW (TfNSW), Sydney Water and the Sydney Olympic Park Authority as the State government members. (Item 13.1) Council adopted the Delivery Program 2022/23 – 2025/26 and the Operational Plan 2022/23, inclusive of the Annual Budget 2022/23 and the Schedule of Fees and Charges 2022/23, with expenditure totalling $520.4m in the Operational Plan 2022/23. (Item 13.2) Council set the Rates and Charges for the 2022/23 rating year and agreed to take up the Additional Special Variation of 2.5% for 2022/23. (Item 13.3) Council endorsed the Draft Community and Crown Land Plan of Management for public exhibition. (Item 13.5) Council endorsed the preferred name of Wulaba Place for the unnamed roadway forming part of the BaptistCare development at 264-268 Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford. (Item 13.6) Council noted the Legal Status Report as at 30 June 2022. (Item 16.1) Council approved the appointment of the preferred contractors for ITT/2021 Environmental Restoration and Construction for the contract period of 5 years from 2022 to 2027. (Item 16.2) Council approved the appointment of the preferred proponent for Tender 5/2022 FS Garside Park and Alfred Streetway Cycleway Stage 1B – Remediation, Civil and Landscape Works, Alfred Street, Granville for the contract sum outlined in the report. (Item 16.3)
