Mungindi Residents - Storm Clean-up

Following the severe thunderstorm on Tuesday in Mungindi that saw many trees not able to withstand the force of Mother Nature, Council and community members promptly went about cleaning up the township of the fallen trees and debris.

After all the hard work over the past couple of days, the disruption caused to the town has been cleaned up. We would like to ask community members to cease placing rubbish out on the kerbside.

In March Council will be doing a bulky waste clean-up which will give residents an opportunity to place items on the kerbside once they book in their collection. Further advertising about Council's bulky waste clean-up will be advertised next month.

Mungindi Residents – Level 3 Water Restrictions

An after-effect of Tuesday’s thunderstorm, which saw the wind blow off the roof at one of the town's water reservoirs, has resulted in exposing the reservoir to the elements.

To ensure that water quality levels remain in place we must call for level 3 water restrictions in the interim.

Council will continue to monitor water levels closely and take further action if necessary to ensure the water supply is preserved.

Council apologises for the inconvenience caused and we appreciate your understanding while we are working on resolving to have the roof replaced as soon as possible.

Mungindi residents are urged to contact Council’s Customer Service Centre on (02) 6757 3222 with any queries.
