Have your say! Help shape our parks and open spaces  We would love to hear from you! Council is seeking your feedback on two project-related surveys, the Moree Plains Public Spaces Legacy Project, and Variety Livvi’s Place – Inclusive Playspace: Jacaranda Park Project. These surveys will assist in determining how the concepts for the beautification of the Mehi River Corridor will be best undertaken and how a playspace at Jacaranda Park will be a space we can all enjoy and love. Acting Director of Engineering Alan Lawrance is asking the community to get involved in shaping the design of the playspace and wider park amenity of Jacaranda Park and having input on shaping the direction of the Mehi River Corridor. “Moree Plains Shire Council is partnering with Variety – the Children’s Charity to design a world-class inclusive playspace at Jacaranda Park in Amaroo”. “Survey respondents are also asked to complete the surveys to guide Council as to how best to implement these concepts into these spaces,” said Alan. A grant from NSW Government will fund the Mehi River Corridor and a part of the Jacaranda Park inclusive playspace. Moree Plains Public Spaces Legacy ProjectConcepts for the Mehi River corridor include an amphitheater for community events, a children’s bike circuit, an additional fitness course, a dog agility course at Jellicoe Park, and more scenic river tracks. This project also has a big focus on public art, with a monument or sculptured art.The funding available for Jacaranda Park is to add to its existing public facilities and playground. Variety Livvi’s Place – Inclusive Playspace: Jacaranda Park ProjectVariety has worked with Local Governments before and has successfully built similar inclusive playspaces for communities throughout Australia. Their “Variety Livvi’s Place” playspaces promote all children to play, learn and live together. Help us plan for these projects by completing the surveys. The two surveys are open until 10 December 2021.
