The warm Spring weekends and lockdown have meant we’ve seen a lot of locals out and about for their essential exercise and outdoor recreation.

Our Cleansing and Waste Collection teams have been out in force on the warmer weekends to make sure our reserves and beaches are in tip-top shape for our community to enjoy.

We’ve deployed more staff, and doubled how often we’re emptying bins at most of our beaches to avoid overflow. Additional temporary bins will also help manage the extra waste that more people bring, a measure we don’t normally need until the Christmas period.

Cleansing teams have also increased their rounds making sure our open spaces such as our beaches, parks, reserves, playgrounds and streets are spick and span and free of litter.

While our staff are working hard to keep our area clean, if you see an overflowing bin, litter in a reserve, or something else we should respond to, please call our Customer Service (24/7) on 1300 434 434 or report an issue through here.

You can also help our environment by trying to reduce waste at home or even by simply folding oversize cartons and boxes before putting them in the blue bin. This helps our contractors collect your bins and allows lids to fully close, which will stop litter flying off into the street, parks and waterways.

If you have excess recycling the Return and Earn machines are operational again across the Northern Beaches and Kimbriki has reopened for residents to drop off excess recycling and other materials.
