ROAD CONDITION REPORT - 7/09/2021

All unsealed roads within Lachlan Shire are open to all vehicles, however some roads have been damaged during recent rain events. Vehicles using the roads should do so with extreme caution. Road shoulders may also be soft and boggy so care should be taken if moving off the road carriageway.

Road Closures

•North Forbes Road (SR 85) remains closed to all vehicles approx. 12km east of Condobolin due to water over the road. 

Road Open – with extreme caution, closed to light vehicles

Kiacatoo Road (MR 7521) west of Kiacatoo has water across road and should be travelled with extreme caution.  Although the road surface is not damaged at present road users should be aware that damage can occur suddenly.  Light vehicles are recommended to use alternate route as water level across road has increased.

An alternate route on unsealed roads is available via Kiagathur Road (SR 1031) and Bimbella Road (SR 56).

Water is expected to remain across Kiacatoo Road while the Lachlan River is at high levels.
