Wollondilly Council is excited to launch its new Visit Wollondilly website today, providing helpful tourism information for both visitors and residents and supporting local tourism providers.

The website has been designed to modernise Wollondilly’s online tourism footprint, simplify navigation for users and raise awareness of what is available in the Shire.

Mayor Robert Khan said, “This new website is a great way to attract tourists to our region”

“Most people go online to plan their holidays and visits to new destinations, so the website is the perfect way to reach out to those who are thinking about visiting Wollondilly.”

“With the festive season and school holidays just around the corner, it’s also the perfect time for locals to explore their own backyard and enjoy what is on offer,” he said.

Destination NSW’s CEO Steve Cox recently visited Wollondilly’s leading tourism attraction, the NSW Rail Museum to gain first-hand knowledge of the challenges that the area is facing following the bushfires and Covid-19.

General Manager, Destination Sydney Surrounds South Shannan Perry-Hall said, “Wollondilly is home to wonderful built and natural attractions, making it easier for people to experience the region and help drive the visitor economy and in turn support our important regional businesses.”

“It is a great time to ensure our visitors are making the most of the accommodation and experiences on offer”.
