Parkes COVID-19 7 Sep 2020 8:38 AM -

As you may be aware, a case of COVID-19 has been reported in the Parkes Local Government Area.

Further testing and investigation is under way to confirm the diagnosis and any possible source of the infection. The person involved is currently in isolation and the Public Health Unit has contacted all close contacts. They have been provided with Public Health information which includes being tested for COVID-19 and to remain in isolation for 14 days.

It is important to note that if you have not been contacted by the Public Health Unit you have not been identified as a close contact.

If you have any symptoms, even mild ones, you should arrange to be tested.

To help stop the spread of COVID-19, please follow the advice from the Health Department:

·                     If you are unwell stay in, get tested and isolate;
