The Shire of Augusta Margaret River’s customer services team will recommence limited face-to-face operations at the Augusta administration office from Friday 8 May.

Shire Customer Service Team Leader, Christine McDonald said while services have been maintained via phone and email throughout the pandemic, staff acknowledge the need for some face-to-face operations.

“As a Department of Transport Agency, all DoT transactions will be available for community members in Augusta during reduced office hours next week”, Ms McDonald said.

The Augusta office will initially be open on Mondays and Fridays, between 10am and 3pm, to complement the Margaret River office opening hours from Tuesday to Thursday, between 10am and 3pm.

To ensure the health and safety of the community and Shire staff, the number of customer service desks and customers permitted in the office at one time will be reduced.

“The Customer Service Team in Augusta will prepare the office for re-opening, applying the same social distancing principles as the Margaret River office”, she said.

Customer Service Officers are also still available for enquiries over the phone on 08 9780 5255 or via email at [email protected] from Monday to Friday, during usual business hours.
