A message from the Mayor Posted Wednesday 08 April 2020

Easter is a time around the world that communities gather to celebrate. For some it is a deeply spiritual journey and for others it represents family occasions and holidays.

This year Easter will be very different for all of us with special holiday plans, church services and Easter egg hunts cancelled.

I know it is difficult – but I strongly urge all residents to continue social distancing and remain indoors unless you need to go out for essentials, work or exercise.

Rangers will be patrolling key areas around Mosman, especially Balmoral Beach and Promenade, every day of the Easter long weekend and Council will be installing additional signage to reinforce the critical public health messages we are receiving on a daily basis.

To further assist our community, Council’s Community Care team has initiated two new services – a telephone support line for housebound residents who need a listening ear and a text message service that communicates important updates.

Don’t forget to listen to Andrea Bocelli, the Italian opera legend on Easter Sunday morning as he sings to the entire world in an empty Duomo Cathedral in Milano with messages of love, healing and hope. Happy Easter.
