Strathfield Council 1 Apr 2020

For immediate release

1 April 2020

In light of current circumstances putting strains on small businesses, Council has launched Be Local Buy Local, encouraging the Strathfield community to support local businesses in a show of solidarity.

Council staff are also called to show their support by shopping from local stores in the community they serve.

Be Local Buy Local aims to help keep local businesses running during this difficult time which has resulted in far reaching economic strains on the community.

The next time you step out to purchase household items, lend a helping hand and support small businesses within the Strathfield LGA by spending $150 to go in the draw to win a $100 debit card.

Follow these 4 simple steps to take part in the Be Local Buy Local 12 week draw commencing Monday 30 March until Sunday 21 June:

Spend at least $150 throughout the week (Monday to Sunday) at any small businesses within the Strathfield LGA. Please note this does not include supermarkets, large businesses and petrol stations. Take a photo or scan through copies of your receipt/s showing the date and place of the purchase on it for the week of the draw. Email your receipt/s to: [email protected] by noon on the following Monday. Await the results of the draw!
