At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 24 February 2020, Council resolved to endorse in principle the introduction of a power generation business rating sub-category. Additional rating income from the power generators sub-category would be directed towards reducing business rates for the other business sub-categories.
The community is invited to make written submissions on these proposals by 4pm Friday 27 March 2020.

Subject to the outcomes of consultation, the changes to the rating structure will be included in Council’s Revenue Policy for adoption as part of the 2020/21 Operational Plan.
