Council Bushfire Recovery Grants

Council is calling for applications for a special round of Community Financial Assistance Grants including event sponsorship and support, and a one-off round of business grants as part of its bushfire recovery program.

Grants of up to $5,000 without any co-contribution and $25,000 with a co-contribution are available for both programs.

Bushfire Recovery Round of the Community Assistance Grants

People and organisations running events are strongly encouraged to apply for a Community Financial Assistance Grant.

The Community Financial Assistance Grants will be open to individuals and organisations.

Business Grants (Visit Our Villages Fund)

Business Grants (Visit Our Villages Fund) are only available for businesses, or the owners of a commercial premise, in rural areas or one of the villages – this grant does not extend to businesses located within the township of Kyogle.

Eligible works and activities for the business grants include:

Works to the fabric of buildings that: improve the external appearance; and/or provide improved customer/public access; and/or contribute to the activation of the wider streetscape. Fit out works and/or new fixtures/fittings for registered food premises that: assist with compliance with regulatory requirements; and/or provide new/improved services for customers. Other works to improve the visual appearance of business premises. Customer service training and/or activities to safeguard or create new jobs. Any other activity that will support and stimulate the visitor economy.
