UPDATE: 8.30am - Saturday, 4 January 

Due to the extreme fire conditions forecast for today, an emergency management centre has been set up in Yass for management of our region. A reminder that the Yass Showground (Grand Junction road) and the Murrumbateman Recreation ground are now open if residents need a place to take their animals. Yass currently does not have an official evacuation centre set up. If you wish to stop at an official evacuation centre, Goulburn Evacuation centre has been set up at the Goulburn recreation area on Braidwood road.

Council will provide updates throughout the day as needed.
