Wollondilly Library Services and Council are hosting a Waterwise Gardening Workshop on Wednesday 22 January from 10.30am to 11.30am at the View Room, Wollondilly Library in Picton.

During the workshop attendees will learn techniques and tips to help their garden survive the drought while reducing water use.

They will also find out about drought tolerant plants and receive a free native plant to take home.

Mayor Matthew Deeth said, “This is a timely workshop given the introduction of Level 2 Water restrictions for Sydney and the Illawarra this week.”

“There are a lot of dedicated Wollondilly gardeners and it has been a challenge for them to keep their gardens alive while minimising water use. This workshop will provide some helpful tips.”

Bookings for the workshop are essential and can be made at www.library.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au/Bookings or call the Library on (02) 4677 8300.
