Christmas will be bigger and better than ever in Carnes Hill this year as Christmas in Carnes Hill lights up the Carnes Hill Community and Recreation Precinct on Thursday 19 December.

Running from 3pm to 8.30pm, Christmas in Carnes Hill will feature free live entertainment, market stalls, food trucks, kids’ activities and a Christmas lights display.

This year’s smash-hit family movie Aladdin, starring Will Smith, will be shown in a pop-up outdoor cinema while novice and experienced skateboarders can test their skills in workshops and an open skate jam.

“Christmas in Carnes Hill will be a wonderful event for the whole family,” Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said. “It has been three years since the last Christmas markets at Carnes Hill so it’s a real thrill to deliver an event such as this to the precinct.

“Bring the kids straight from school or come after work, grab something delicious for dinner and then stay to watch the spectacular lighting display across the front of the precinct.

“And of course no Christmas event would be complete without a visit from everyone’s favourite, Santa.

“We know the community is going to love Christmas in Carnes Hill and are sure it will become a much-loved tradition, just like Christmas in the Mall.”

The skateboard beginner workshops are open to ages 5-18. Bookings essential, please register at totemskateboarding.com.

Smoking, alcohol, drugs and pets are banned at Christmas in Carnes Hill.
