Donate and bring joy to a family this Christmas

Cessnock City Council is running its annual Christmas Gift and Food Appeal with donations being accepted from Monday 25 November 2019.

This year all donations will go to Soupz On, Cessnock Food wars and Hunter Hands of Hope.

Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent is encouraging the community to give what they can this festive season.

“We have many vulnerable people in our community who are doing it tough. A small donation could go a long way in helping them enjoy this special time of year with their loved ones.”

”If you would like to donate we are receiving toys, toiletries and non-perishable food items.”

Council hopes the community will show their support and give generously to the appeal before it ends on Thursday 12 December 2019. Donation drop off points include; under the Christmas tree in Council’s administration building and over the counter at Cessnock and Kurri Kurri libraries.

For health and safety reasons, please ensure all donations are new and unwrapped.
