Community bus naming narrowed to three

Published Monday, 2nd September 2019

The naming of Council’s two new community buses has been narrowed to three choices from more than 120 suggestions from the community.

Residents are encouraged to help choose the final names on Council’s Facebook page or via email.

Council recently purchased the two community buses.

The three choices for the two new buses are:

Bunji (Indigenous word for mate or friendship) and Cobber Traveller and Explorer Kookaburra and Koala

The buses provide affordable and accessible transport for community groups. They are an essential service by Council for the community.

The buses allow residents without access to affordable transport to enjoy full social lives, get out and about and be active, meet with friends, enjoy events and access essential services.

Residents can vote on Council’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/fairfieldcity)  or submit their choice via email to [email protected].
