Graffiti removed from Lennox Bridge
Blue Mountains 31 Jul 2019

Blue Mountains Mayor Mark Greenhill has congratulated Council staff for rapidly cleaning graffiti off the Lennox Bridge at Glenbrook, which is the oldest bridge of its kind in Australia.

Mayor Greenhill said: “I was appalled when the bridge was attacked again.

“It requires the use of special techniques to clean it, given the age and fragility of the structure. This comes at a cost to ratepayers.

“After the last attack I called for increases to security measures because this is such a precious bridge.

“I want to thank Council staff for the work they have done and how quickly and carefully they have performed it.

“I look forward to seeing increased security measures, so that we can catch and place before the courts those responsible.”
