Council is providing its support for a new community-led initiative to deliver more accessible facilities in Mosman.

Members of Mosman’s Access and Mobility Community Consultative Committee have applied under the NSW Government’s My Community Project program to fund new accessible toilets in the Raglan Street West carpark at Mosman Junction.

My Community Project is a NSW Government grant program that invites ideas from community members for projects to strengthen and enhance local communities. New accessible facilities in Mosman Junction would be a valuable addition to Mosman’s shopping precinct and for Mosman’s community. Mosman Council has endorsed this project, and is acting as sponsor for the delivery in the event it receives My Community Project funding.

To make this exciting opportunity a reality requires community support. Projects are decided by public vote, and the projects with the most support from residents living in the NSW electorate of North Shore will receive funding.

Online voting is open now, until 15 August 2019, and open to anyone who is at least 16 years of age, has a Medicare card and lives in the NSW electorate of North Shore.
