General Manager concludes her time with Council

Sharon Hutch will conclude her time as General Manager of Yass Valley Council on Friday, 19 July 2019.

Sharon commenced employment at Council in 2016 on a temporary basis as Business Improvement Specialist and later went on to become the Director Finance & Corporate. Council appointed Mrs Hutch to the position of General Manager in September 2018.

Mrs Hutch says she is extremely grateful for all of the support given to her during her time at Yass Valley Council.

“It is with great regret that I’ll be leaving the Yass Valley community, the dedicated elected Councillors and the driven staff who provide services to this great community every day.”

“Being General Manager has been the most rewarding experience and this is definitely due in part to the fantastic leadership of our community,” Mrs Hutch said.

Yass Valley Mayor, Rowena Abbey acknowledged Sharon’s hard work and dedication to Council and the Yass Valley community, saying it was sad to see her leave.

“Sharon stepped into her roles with enthusiasm and I would like to thank her for all her hard work and commitment to the Yass Valley over the last few years,” Mayor Abbey said.

Council’s Director Planning, Chris Berry will step in as acting General Manager until the position has been permanently filled.
