19 June 2019

Share the gift of kindness this winter!

Strathfield Council is launching the Winter Homelessness Appeal from Sunday 23 June – Saturday 29 June 2019 to help people in our community who are experiencing homelessness. Council encourages Strathfield residents to join the initiative and support those who are doing it tough.

Your donation is invaluable and will make a difference to our neighbours in need. Items are to be in good quality and can include warm blankets, sleeping bags, jackets, new socks, beanies, scarves and gloves. Dry food goods (rice, pasta, tinned goods) and new miniature toiletries are also welcomed.

Donated items will be distributed to St Pauls Church, Burwood and St Mekorious Charity who work with people who are disadvantaged and experiencing homelessness.

For more information on how you can make your contribution, visit Council’s website at www.strathfield.nsw.gov.au or drop by your nearest drop-off point at Strathfield Council Customer Service, Strathfield Library, High Street Library and Homebush Public School.

A collection point will also be set up for the Cooks River Fun Run which will take place at Freshwater Park on Sunday 23 June.

Spread a bit of love and make someone’s day brighter and warmer.
