Community organisations wishing to turn an idea into a reality are encouraged to apply for the latest round of funding through the Bock Rock Community Enhancement Fund.

The Boco Rock Community Enhancement Fund Committee was established following development approval being granted through the NSW Government's Department of Planning.

Expenditure by the Committee is specifically restricted to the former Cooma-Monaro and Bombala Local Government Areas as a condition of the development approval. This is an exciting opportunity for community groups in these areas to apply for funding. Application packs and funding guidelines are available on Council’s website or at any Council office.

Information sessions will be held to assist potential applicants. A session will be held in the Bombala council office on Tuesday 25 June from 5:30pm to 6:30pm and in the Cooma council chambers on Thursday 27 June from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

Applications close 5pm Friday 26 July. Don’t miss out.

Thank you to all the landholders and residents who took part in workshops to discuss the ongoing management of African Lovegrass. Your feedback has been very productive and our Biosecurity team appreciates your input. It’s not too late to have your say. You can fill out a survey at Your Say Snowy Monaro or in hardcopy from any Council office until 5pm Friday 21 June.

Nominations have been extended for Council’s Inclusion Action Committee. We’ve already received some fantastic applications but are hoping to receive some further nominations from people with a disability and people from the Bombala region.

Council’s Community Development Planner is available to assist with the nomination process if required. Please call 1300 345 345 for further information. Nomination forms are available on Council’s website or at any Council office.

On Thursday, the June Ordinary Council Meeting will be held in the Jindabyne Memorial Hall from 5pm. All welcome. Please note that this will mean that this month’s Council meeting will not be live streamed via our website.
