Expression of Interest to Re-purpose and Relocate Community Building

Published on 15 April 2019

The City of Busselton is planning to undertake strategic capital works over an area of land which will include the area off Causeway Road next to Rotary Park.   The building previously used by the Scouts is located on the Reserve Land.  The Building will need to be relocated prior to the capital works being undertaken by the City.

The City is seeking proposals from interested parties willing and able to undertake the relocation and reuse of the Buildings (at the cost of the interested parties), with a preference being for the relocation to be within the City of Busselton.

Expression of Interest documentation can be found below and Expressions of Interest close 1 May 2019.

History and Significance to the City of Busselton

The Scout Hall has been used for many years by the local community.  This Building has significance in terms of the use and benefit it has provided over the years to the City and as such holds a place in the history of Busselton.

Location

The Building straddles the boundary of Lots 40 and 41 on Reserve 2236, located on the eastern side of Causeway Road.  Access to the Building is currently via the bitumen sealed access road into Rotary Park carpark off Causeway Road.
