Last year's Winterland proved hugely popular.

Council has confirmed the Winterland village and ice skating spectacular will be back in 2019 after securing the two key teams behind its success last year.

The inaugural alpine-themed festival proved hugely popular, with thousands attending Koshigaya Park in central Campbelltown over the July school holiday break.

This week professional ice skating company Stars on Ice and amusement ride firm Joylands signed contracts guaranteeing an even bigger event this year with two ice skating rinks and a larger, more fun-packed program.

“Residents took Winterland to their hearts last year, and it’s great that we can bring it back to Campbelltown for a second year,” said Mayor George Brticevic.

“Our events team has done a great job in not just securing these sought after firms, but extending the event as well,” said Cr Brticevic.

“It showcases our city’s ability to host drawcard, destination events, and provide people with experiences that are a bit different and to give them good memories to look back on.”

Winterland 2019 will be held from Saturday 6 July to Sunday 21 July in Koshigaya Park, Campbelltown.

More details will be available in May and tickets will go on sale in early June.
