The first of the public hearings for the Public Inquiry into Blue Mountains City Council’s asbestos management and organisational governance are being held this week.

The Council has delivered a statement on Term of Reference 4, to Commissioner Richard Beasley SC. We appreciate the opportunity to provide evidence to the Inquiry.

The Council will not be making any further comments on the hearings relating to Term of Reference 4 but will continue to participate in the Inquiry, as required, in a full, open and cooperative manner.

The Public Inquiry was announced on 27 June 2018 by the then Minister for Local Government, Gabrielle Upton MP.
